Open Cellars of Nillumbik

The co-operative annual festivities for the wineries of our region happen this weekend. Each winery of Nillumbik offers greetings from the winemaker and tastes of our local produce. At Hills of Plenty, as well as our fine wines, we will have Buckleys beer, Donnybrook cheese or Research sausage platters with local gourmet bread & condiments, Whittlesea icecream and good coffee.Karen and wine knowledgeable friends will discuss wine each day and there will be live jazz with Liam O'Connell and muso friends on Sunday afternoon.

Note that parking is made easy at our neighbours, 344 Yan Yean Road.

The artists of Nillumbik open their studios to the public - visit Kim Tarpey our Open Cellars artist partner. Here is her Teddy Bear's Pick-nick. This sculpture is about facing adversities - the Teddy, net in hand, is trying to ensnare the little girl - platinum knife and fork waving menacingly. She has however picked and nicked his eyes. It is a music box - the teapot winds up.
